Everything You Need to Know

The most common questions we hear from new clients, all answered in detail by our experienced team.

Animatronic dinosaur prices generally range from $3,000 for small, simple models (1–3 meters) up to $80,000+ for large, highly detailed custom pieces (15+ meters with advanced movements). The exact cost depends on size, number of movements, material quality, level of detail, and customization complexity.

As a general reference:
  • Small (2–4m): $3,000 – $8,000
  • Medium (5–8m): $8,000 – $20,000
  • Large (9–12m): $18,000 – $40,000
  • Extra-large (13m+): $35,000 – $80,000+

Contact us with your specific requirements and we'll provide a detailed, itemized quote within 24 hours — completely free and with no obligation.
Standard models typically require 20–35 days from order confirmation to shipping. Fully custom designs take 30–60 days depending on complexity. Here's a typical production timeline:
  • Days 1–5: Design confirmation, 3D modeling, and client approval
  • Days 6–15: Steel framework fabrication and mechanical assembly
  • Days 16–25: Foam sculpting and silicone skin application
  • Days 26–30: Painting, programming, sound integration, and testing
  • Day 31+: Factory acceptance testing and shipping preparation

We provide weekly progress updates with photos and videos so you can follow along throughout the production process.
We ship worldwide using several methods depending on size, urgency, and destination:
  • Sea Freight (LCL/FCL): Most cost-effective for large units. Transit time 25–45 days.
  • Air Freight: Faster option for smaller units or urgent orders. Transit time 5–10 days.
  • Railway Transport: Good option for landlocked countries in Central Asia and Europe.
  • Express Courier: Available for small items and replacement parts.

All dinosaurs are carefully disassembled, wrapped in protective foam and waterproof film, and crated in reinforced wooden shipping crates marked "fragile." We handle all export documentation and can arrange door-to-door delivery including customs clearance.
Yes, we offer several installation options to suit your needs:
  • Self-Installation: Detailed assembly manuals, labeled parts, and step-by-step video guides for simple models.
  • Remote Support: Video call assistance from our technicians during your installation process.
  • On-Site Installation: We send 1–2 experienced technicians to your location to handle complete assembly, testing, and staff training. Travel and accommodation expenses are billed at transparent daily rates.

Most of our dinosaurs are designed for modular assembly, meaning they can be put together and taken apart with standard tools and our clear instructions. For most small to medium projects, many clients choose self-installation with remote support.
All our animatronic dinosaurs come with a 2-year comprehensive warranty covering manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. This includes:
  • Steel framework and mechanical components
  • Motors, servos, and control systems
  • Silicone skin covering (against premature cracking or fading)
  • Sound systems and electronics

We also provide lifetime after-sales support with replacement parts available at cost. For commercial attractions with high visitor volume and heavy usage, we offer extended 5-year warranty plans. If you ever have an issue, our technical team is available via video call to diagnose and guide you through repairs.
Absolutely. Every aspect of our animatronics can be customized to your specifications:
  • Size: From 1 meter miniatures to 30+ meter giants — any scale you need.
  • Color & Pattern: Match any reference — scientific paleoart, brand colors, or custom designs.
  • Movements: Add or remove movements — head turn, jaw snap, tail sway, breathing, blinking, walking, spitting water, smoke effects, and more.
  • Sounds: Custom roars, calls, or themed sound effects.
  • Interactive Features: Motion sensors, touch sensors, voice control, coin operation, and custom programming.
  • Completely Original Designs: Fantasy creatures, dragons, monsters, or your own IP characters.

Our design team will work with you from concept sketch through 3D modeling to ensure the final product matches your vision perfectly.
Our animatronic dinosaurs are built with multiple layers of carefully selected materials:
  • Internal Structure: Rust-proofed steel (Q235) with anti-corrosion coating.
  • Mechanical System: Industrial-grade DC motors, precision gearboxes, and stainless steel transmission parts.
  • Muscle Layer: High-density, flame-retardant polyurethane foam (30–40kg/m³ density).
  • Skin: Custom-formulated silicone rubber blend — UV-resistant, waterproof, and extremely durable with realistic texture.
  • Painting: Multi-layer airbrush painting with UV-stabilized acrylic paints, sealed with a protective clear coat.
  • Electronics: CE and RoHS certified components with IP65 waterproof rating.

All materials are tested and certified for safety and environmental compliance.
Yes — all our standard animatronic dinosaurs are designed and built for full-time outdoor use. They are:
  • Waterproof: IP65 rated electrical systems with sealed enclosures.
  • UV-Resistant: Silicone skin and UV-stabilized paint resist fading in direct sunlight.
  • Temperature Resistant: Operate reliably from -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F).
  • Wind Resistant: Steel frames engineered for wind loads up to 100km/h (62mph).
  • Corrosion Resistant: Galvanized and epoxy-coated steel structures.

Our dinosaurs are installed in some of the harshest environments on Earth — from desert theme parks in the Middle East to tropical rainforest attractions in Southeast Asia. For extreme conditions, we offer additional protective upgrades.
There is no minimum order quantity at SAGE. We happily accept orders for a single dinosaur costume, a single small animatronic, or a single custom piece. Whether you need one dinosaur for a small exhibit or 50 for a full theme park, you'll receive the same quality, service, and attention to detail.

For larger orders (10+ units), we offer volume discounts and dedicated project management. We also have many clients who start with one or two dinosaurs as a test, then come back for larger orders once they see the quality and visitor response.
With proper installation and regular maintenance, our animatronic dinosaurs have a typical lifespan of 8–12 years for outdoor use, and 12–15+ years for indoor installations.

The lifespan depends on several factors:
  • Climate: Dinosaurs in moderate climates generally last longer than those in extreme heat, cold, or high humidity.
  • Maintenance: Regular cleaning, inspection, and minor repairs significantly extend lifespan.
  • Usage: Continuous 12-hour daily operation vs. occasional weekend use.
  • Protection: Sheltered installations last longer than fully exposed ones.

We offer refurbishment and skin replacement services that can extend a dinosaur's life by another 5–8 years at a fraction of the cost of a new unit. Many of our earliest dinosaurs built in the 2000s are still operating today after refurbishments.
