Our Story

From a Small Workshop to a Global Animatronics Leader

Founded in 2005 by a team of passionate dinosaur enthusiasts and skilled engineers, SAGE started in a modest workshop in Zigong — a city in Sichuan Province famous for its rich fossil deposits and centuries-old lantern-making traditions. Drawing on this unique local heritage, we combined ancient sculpting techniques with modern robotics technology.

Today, SAGE operates from a state-of-the-art 8,000+ square meter production facility with over 120 full-time employees. We have served more than 800 clients across 40+ countries, including major theme park operators, Fortune 500 companies, prestigious museums, and world-renowned zoos.

2005
Company Founded in Zigong
SAGE is established with a 1,200 sqm workshop and 15 employees. First project: a single T-Rex for a local dinosaur park.
2008
First International Export
Completed first overseas project — a 6-dinosaur exhibit for a museum in the United States. Expanded team to 40 craftsmen.
2012
New Production Facility
Relocated to a 5,000 sqm modern factory with dedicated sculpture, mechanical, and assembly departments. Launched animatronic animal line.
2016
ISO Certification & CE Compliance
Achieved ISO 9001 quality management certification and full CE compliance for all product lines. Opened European sales office.
2019
1,000th Project Delivered
Celebrated completion of our 1,000th project — a fully custom 22-meter Brachiosaurus for a major Asian theme park.

Expanded 8,000 sqm Facility
